SwipeTrivia — Terms of Service

Effective date: 13 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of SwipeTrivia ("we", "us") — one person in Pune, Maharashtra, India, an individual and not a company — covering your use of the app. By using the app you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

Contact: support@swipetrivia.com.

1. Who can use SwipeTrivia

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

2. Your account

You can play as a guest without an account. To keep a streak, appear on leaderboards, or add friends, you need one.

Tell us at support@swipetrivia.com if you think someone else is using your account.

3. Fair play

SwipeTrivia is a game with scores, so the rules matter. Do not:

If you break these we may reset your score, suspend you, or delete your account — depending on what you did. Where it is reasonable we will tell you why.

Found a security flaw? Email support@swipetrivia.com before doing anything else. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine vulnerability in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it.

4. The questions

We work to keep the quiz content accurate, but we do not guarantee that every question, answer, or explanation is correct. Some content comes from third-party sources. SwipeTrivia is entertainment, not a reference work — do not rely on it for anything that matters.

If you spot a wrong answer, tell us at support@swipetrivia.com. We would rather know.

Some questions are sourced from the Open Trivia Database, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. Those questions remain under that licence.

5. What belongs to whom

The app itself — its code, design, branding, and our own question content — is ours, or our licensors'. These terms do not give you any ownership of it. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or build a competing service from it, beyond what the law allows regardless of what we say here.

Anything you create in the app, such as your username, stays yours. By putting it in the app you give us permission to display it to other users where the app is designed to do so — on a leaderboard, or in a friends list.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent: your answers, XP, streaks, leaderboard entries, and friendships all go, and we cannot bring them back.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the app. Unless the reason makes it impossible, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to get your data out.

7. The service may change, or stop

SwipeTrivia is offered as it is. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may stop offering the app entirely. We will try to give reasonable notice before shutting it down. We do not promise the app will always be available, or uninterrupted, or free of bugs.

8. Price

SwipeTrivia is currently free. If we introduce paid features we will say so clearly first, and nothing you already have will be taken away and sold back to you.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

Subject to that: we provide the app "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or loss of the intangible satisfaction of a long streak, arising from your use of a free app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use SwipeTrivia after that means you accept the new version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be heard by the courts of Pune, Maharashtra. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protections of the mandatory law of the country where you live.

12. Odds and ends

13. Apple App Store

For apps obtained from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or for support. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. If the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation.

14. Contact

SwipeTrivia is run by an individual in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

support@swipetrivia.com is the contact point for everything in this document — including a request to see, correct or delete your data.
